PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana
The government pays up to ₹78,000 towards your system.
It's credited straight to your bank account after installation, and most families also get up to 300 units of free electricity a month. We do all of the paperwork.

₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW, and ₹78,000 for 3 kW or more. This is the maximum for an individual household.
When is the subsidy credited?
After the system is commissioned and the DISCOM has inspected it and installed the net meter. It is typically credited within 30–60 days directly to your bank account.
Do I have to pay the full amount upfront?
You pay the vendor, and the subsidy is credited back to you. You can also take a concessional rooftop-solar loan from nationalised banks, which keeps your upfront payment low.
Can I get the subsidy if I live in a flat?
Individual flat owners generally can't, because the roof is common property. Your society or RWA can install solar for common areas and claim ₹18,000 per kW.
Is there any vendor requirement?
Yes. The system must use ALMM-listed (domestic content) panels and be installed by a vendor registered on the national portal. Ask any installer to confirm both in writing.
Can I install more than 3 kW?
Yes. The subsidy is capped at 3 kW, but you can install a bigger system if your consumption needs it. Many homes with bills above ₹4,000 choose 5 kW for the best long-term savings.
