Is there a subsidy for solar water pumps?
Under PM-KUSUM, farmers can get substantial central and state assistance for standalone solar pumps and for solarising grid-connected pumps. Eligibility and the farmer's share vary by state and by quota. We'll check the current UP/Haryana allocation for you.
Will an off-grid system run without any electricity connection?
Yes. An off-grid plant with batteries, or a direct-drive solar pump, works entirely independently of the grid. That makes it ideal for farmhouses, tube-wells and remote sites.
